Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics proposed cooperation programs with An Giang based on the unit's strengths, including: Postgraduate training program with 2 master's training majors; research and consulting program for local socio-economic development with 4 research and consulting contents; short-term training courses with 12 programs. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dong Phong, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics proposed: "The university is looking forward to sharing and contributing responsibility to the development of the Mekong Delta and An Giang province; especially in the conditions where the whole country is focusing on promoting economic growth".

At the meeting, leaders of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and An Giang province, departments and branches exchanged many ideas to effectively implement coordination work, training and research programs in the coming time... The two sides agreed on the program, assigned focal points to coordinate the implementation of cooperation contents.

Emphasizing the important contribution of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics in training human resources of the province in recent times, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang said that the working session at the beginning of the new year was very practical, a good premise for developing cooperation in the coming time and hoped that the cooperative relationship would become better and better. After the meeting to agree on this policy, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches with their functions and tasks to continue to discuss with Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics in order to choose next training and research programs in the coming time. /.
