(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of December 9th, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc chaired a working session with departments, agencies, and localities to discuss the plan for organizing the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of large-scale and significant projects and works to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam in the province.



Inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for large-scale, significant projects and constructions, to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will be held simultaneously nationwide on December 19, 2025. An Giang province plans to hold groundbreaking ceremonies for five projects, including: the Urban Metro Line Project – Section 1 (PPP, BOT contract); the investment and construction project for the Ho Suoi Lon resettlement area; the Cua Can resettlement area project; the investment project for Duong Dong 2 reservoir; and the construction of a protective roof for the archaeological pits at the Oc Eo – Ba The historical site. In addition, the province also organizes the technical opening ceremony for Component Project 1 under Phase 1 of the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway Construction Investment Project. Phu Quoc will be one of the locations chosen by the central government for live video recording.

Concluding the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc emphasized that organizing the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for large-scale projects and works, in celebration of the 14th National Congress of the Party in the province as well as projects and works nationwide, is a significant political event. Therefore, departments and agencies should coordinate and strengthen the dissemination and promotion of the significance of these projects and works, aiming to create consensus and enthusiasm among cadres, Party members, and the general public.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc requested that departments, agencies, and localities coordinate in preparing the venue for the ceremony; urgently review and finalize the program and script for the inauguration and opening ceremonies according to the provincial and national schedules and timelines, ensuring they are specific, scientific, and thorough. In particular, they should prepare well for logistics, protocol, ceremonial arrangements, guest lists, information systems, medical services, electricity, and environmental sanitation; and effectively implement measures to ensure security, order, and traffic safety, ensure that the inauguration ceremony takes place on December 19, in a solemn, efficient, economical, and safe manner./.
