Reporting to the President and the Central Working Group, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang said that with the goal of continuing to promote economic growth and accelerating the implementation of breakthrough and key tasks in 2024, An Giang province has resolutely implemented socio-economic management solutions. Since then, the socio-economic situation of An Giang province has improved a lot, creating a new momentum and new driving force for growth and development. Many important policies and guidelines have been issued and effectively implemented, positively impacting the overall development of the whole province.

In 2024, An Giang has achieved and exceed 13/15 targets set by the Provincial People's Council Resolution. The economic growth rate (GRDP) in 2024 is estimated at 7.16% and the average GRDP per capita reachs 66.24 million VND/year. The economic structure has shifted positively, with strong sectors such as agriculture, trade, and tourism continuing to achieve good results. Socio - economic infrastructure has been focused on investment and upgrading. Social security is ensured, and people's lives are constantly improving. The ethnic and religious situation is stable; national defense - security, territorial borders, and national sovereignty are maintained...

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong commended the efforts, achievements and results that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in An Giang province have united and strived to overcome difficulties to successfully complete the tasks of 2024. Thereby, he requested that the Party Committees and authorities of An Giang province continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the general policies of the Central Government, in accordance with actual conditions of the province. At the same time, he emphasized that An Giang province still has a lot of potential and conditions for development, so the locality needs to continue to promote the achievements and strive to successfully complete the key tasks of 2025. Thereby, contributing more effectively to the overall development of the Mekong Delta region and the country.

On this occasion, President Luong Cuong presented many Tet gifts to encourage families with revolutionary contributions, exemplary policy families, poor households, and workers in An Giang province.

On the same day, President Luong Cuong and the delegation visited the family of Mr. Vo Dai Nhan and Mrs. Vo Thi Van - a typical family of veteran revolutionaries in Long Xuyen City; and visited the family of Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Huan, former Vice Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army.
