During the session, the participants listened to, discussed, and provided opinions on the draft Resolutions from the Standing Committee of the People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Legal Department of the Provincial People's Council on many important issues presented at the session. They voted and passed 12 Resolutions related to the organizational restructuring policy, assigning the number of officials, civil servants, and non-specialized employees at the commune level in the province to ensure that the agencies after restructuring are more efficient, to reduce the number of administrative levels, and clarify the scope, duties, and authority of the agencies according to legal regulations. This aims to promptly meet the requirements and tasks following the direction of the central government and the spirit of Resolution 18 of the 12th Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party on "Some Issues Regarding Continuing the Renewal, Organizational Restructuring of the Political System for a Lean, Effective, and Efficient Operation"; enhancing the initiative and restructuring, improving the quality of the cadres, civil servants, and public employees, promoting the effectiveness and efficiency of the State management to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation.

In his closing speech, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang Province, Comrade Le Van Nung, requested: After the session, the Provincial People's Committee should pay attention and direct all levels, sectors, units, and localities to effectively implement the Resolutions. At the same time, to announce decisions related to the organizational restructuring no later than February 20, 2025; Follow closely the directives of the central and provincial authorities to complete the organizational restructuring of agencies and units for continuous and seamless operations; Direct the review and effective implementation of mechanisms, policies, and regimes in the organizational restructuring to attract, retain talented individuals, and utilize talents; build and protect a team of officials and civil servants with good professional skills, moral qualities, and high responsibility, who dare to think and act for the common good. Additionally, it is necessary to prepare the relevant content so that new units can operate seamlessly immediately after merging and reorganizing, such as: defining functions, duties, and authorities, staffing, arranging leadership and management personnel, civil servants, procedures for seals, facilities, and equipment, etc.

The Standing Committee, the committees of the People's Council, delegates, and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, as well as its member organizations, are requested to strengthen propaganda, mobilize, and promote the role of the masses in actively participating in the implementation of the Party's and State's policies and the province's directives.
