In 2024, the socio-economic situation of Cho Moi district has developed stably and grown compared to the same period. The fields of culture and social security continues to be well implemented, the situation of political security and social order and safety has been well maintained. Notably, the average income per capita according to the New Rural criteria reached 77.63 million VND/person/year (an increase of VND 6.37 million over the same period).

In agricultural production, the total cultivated area in the year is 58,241 hectares, reaching 100.73% of the plan, of which rice seedlings reached 34,230 hectares, 99.16% of the plan; The  average yield of 03 crops increased compared to the same period to 6.36 tons/ha, the estimated output reached 217,542 tons, ... The area of subsidiary crops planted reached 24,011 hectares, 82.53% of the yearly plan; The total area of fruit trees in the district is nearly 8,300 hectares,... The OCOP program recognized 17 products with 3-star OCOP certification this year. Up to now, the whole district has 25 products with OCOP certification (of which 23 products have 3-star certification and 2 products have 4-star certification).

Regarding new rural construction, the district currently has 15/15 new rural communes and 05 advanced new rural communes. According to the new set of criteria, on average, 15 new rural communes achieved 18.27/19 criteria, with 56.13/57 targets; on average, 05 advanced new rural communes achieved 18.4/19 criteria, with 74.4/75 targets compared to the end of 2023. In the fields of industry, handicrafts, science and technology, the estimated production value last year reached 10,110.8 billion VND, an increase of 9.35% over the same period. Regarding the situation of tourism development, there have been many changes, last year attracted nearly 79,000 visitors, an increase of more than 7,500 visitors over the same period, ...

Concluding the Conference, Chairman of Cho Moi District People's Committee Cu Minh Trong emphasized that 2025 is an important year, the final year of implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan for the period 2021-2025. The District People's Committee Chairman requested the district's departments, People's Committees of communes and townlets to develop specific work plans and programs of their units with goals, tasks and completion time to successfully perform the Resolution of the People's Council; strengthen discipline and administrative discipline, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of direction; The District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development shall coordinate with localities to expand the agricultural production model on applying high technology, artificially diversifying crop varieties, continuing to develop growing area codes to increase product quality, enhance competitiveness, and diversify consumption markets; The District Department of Economic Infrastructure shall regularly review the regional planning of communes and townlets; The District Investment and Construction Project Management Board needs to speed up the progress of key projects and disburse public investment capital; The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs should implement well, fully and promptly pay social security regimes and policies for meritorious people and sponsors according to regulations; The District Public Security Department should strengthen inspection and patrol work to maintain political security, social order and safety, carry out solutions to ensure traffic order and safety, and minimize traffic accidents; The District Military Command should well carry out the military handover ceremony in 2025; Communes and townlets should focus on synchronously implementing solutions to maintain and improve the quality of New Rural and Advanced New Rural criteria to move towards a New Rural district in 2025,...
