Reporting at the meeting, Chairman of Long Xuyen City People's Committee Tran Minh Duc said that recently, the city has proactively reviewed and assessed the current status of the working headquarters of administrative agencies, public security, military, and the new public administration center. The locality has made plans for headquarters location; use of real estate and land; arrangement of facilities and equipment; financial work; digitalization of records; document storage,... In the process of implementing the major policy on administrative unit arrangement and new headquarters arrangement, Long Xuyen City People's Committee has been very proactive, made efforts and received close coordination from departments and branches. After the arrangement of administrative units, Long Xuyen city has 4 wards and communes left from 12 wards and communes, including: Long Xuyen Ward, My Thoi Ward, Binh Duc Ward and My Hoa Hung Commune.
In addition to the achieved results, the leaders of Long Xuyen City People's Committee also frankly raised the difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, especially related to investment capital, construction progress of some project items and coordination between units. The city proposed that the province consider and have solutions to support to remove these difficulties, ensuring the overall progress of the province.
After listening to the report and the opinions exchanged, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung acknowledged and highly appreciated the proactiveness and positivity of Long Xuyen city in implementing the tasks of preparing for the organization of a two-level urban government, especially the preparation of conditions for facilities; arrangement of offices, necessary equipment; finance; digitization of records; document storage, etc. He emphasized that the transformation of the government organization is an important task, of strategic significance to the development of the province, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state management and the quality of service to the people.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Long Xuyen City People's Committee to urgently arrange, edit, and digitize records and documents for handover when implementing the two-level local government. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen coordination between levels and sectors, and mobilize maximum resources to ensure the completion of the set goals on schedule. Comrade Ho Van Mung directed the provincial departments, sectors and sectors to proactively coordinate and support Long Xuyen City in the implementation process, promptly resolve arising difficulties and problems. On the same afternoon, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung inspected the office of Binh Khanh Ward, which will soon be the office of Binh Duc Ward People's Committee; the current Office of the Transport Block, Binh Khanh 2 Hamlet will be Binh Duc Ward Public Administration Center (currently Ham Nghi Street, Binh Khanh Ward). Binh Duc Ward is established on the basis of merging Binh Duc Ward, Binh Khanh Ward and My Khanh Commune. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that the plan to arrange the new commune-level Public Administration Service Center headquarters after the merger must ensure favorable conditions for officials to work, especially people and businesses coming to resolve administrative procedures./.
