Attending the event were colonel Le Hoang Giu - Deputy Head of Political Department of Military Region 9; Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Steering Committee Le Van Phuoc, who attended and delivered a speech guiding the Program.

"Military-Civilian Tet" celebration , themed "An Giang Armed Forces, together with the Party Committee, government , and people of Hoa Dien commune, continue to work together to build a new rural area," took place in Hoa Dien commune. This area is a revolutionary base region where, during the two wars of resistance, the military and people bravely fought and overcame countless difficulties and hardships .
The "Military-Civilian Tet" program is a successful model of mass mobilization, carrying practical significance. It demonstrates the joint efforts and contributions of the entire political system. Through the program, many meaningful activities have been implemented, such as: disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; building and donating "Comrade Houses," "Houses of Solidarity," "Houses of Farmers' Warmth," "Houses of Compassion," and "Red Cross Houses"; constructing and repairing rural bridges and roads; visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and near-poor households; and awarding scholarships to poor students who overcome difficulties and excel in their studies. Through these efforts, the program contributes to improving the material and spiritual lives of the people and creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere in the days leading up to the traditional Lunar New Year.
The program has implemented the construction of 48 houses, 4 rural traffic bridges, and many other activities such as visiting, giving gifts, providing medical examinations and medicine, and awarding scholarships… contributing to helping Hoa Dien commune soon complete the criteria for achieving new rural standards and ensuring that the people can celebrate a warm and meaningful Lunar New Year.

The "Military-Civilian Tet" program in 2026 clearly demonstrates the profound concern and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee; the close and effective coordination of Party committees, governments, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and provincial departments, agencies, armed forces, and localities in social welfare work and caring for the lives of the people. The program received significant support and resources from companies, businesses, banks, and philanthropists, with a total implementation cost of nearly 9 billion VND.

To ensure that the "Military-Civilian Tet" activities proceed as planned and achieve their objectives, in the coming period, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc requested that agencies, units, and forces organize, disseminate, and widely publicize the purpose and significance of the "Military-Civilian Tet" activities among cadres, Party members, armed forces soldiers, union members, association members, Party committees, government agencies, mass organizations at all levels, and the people. This will help maintain and strengthen the good feelings, relationships, and traditions between Party committees, government agencies, mass organizations, armed forces, and the people.

Departments, agencies, organizations, socio-political and humanitarian organizations; agencies, units, armed forces, companies, businesses, banks, philanthropists; local Party committees and governments need to coordinate smoothly and closely; promptly lead, manage, and organize the implementation of tasks according to the defined schedule, time, and content; and mobilize all resources to achieve practical results.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province noted that Thanh Loc commune, An Giang province - the locality selected and assigned the task of organizing the "Military-Civilian Tet" activities in 2027 - must have unified and focused leadership and direction from the Party committee and government, mobilizing the decisive participation of departments, agencies, mass organizations, and local armed forces in implementing the identified tasks. Good propaganda work is needed to ensure that cadres, Party members, and the people understand the purpose and significance of the "Military-Civilian Tet" activities. From there, a sense of responsibility should be enhanced, and people should actively participate in the activities in the locality, while preserving, enhancing, and promoting the achievements that the "Military-Civilian Tet" activities bring.

On this occasion, Lieutenant General Ho Van Thai - Political Commissar of Military Region 9 - presented a solidarity house to the People's Committee of Thanh Loc commune; and gave 10 gifts to officers, professional soldiers, and members of the provincial armed forces who are in difficult circumstances.

Also at the ceremony, the Provincial Military Command, the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations, the Provincial Labor Federation, and the An Giang Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin presented 110 gifts and scholarships totaling 200 million VND to officers, professional soldiers, veterans, reserve forces, militia, policy beneficiary families, meritorious individuals, poor and near-poor households, and students who overcome difficulties and excel in their studies in Hoa Dien commune.
