An Giang: Welcoming international Famtrip delegation, opening up opportunities for multinational tourism connection

(AG Provincial E-Portal)- On November 27 and 28, An Giang Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion in collaboration with Vietnam Tourism Association, the Mekong Delta Tourism Association and travel agencies to organize an international Famtrip to survey the province's typical tourist areas and destinations.

The delegation included representatives of travel agencies, press and media partners from the Philippines, Malaysia and several other potential markets.

During the trip, the delegation conducted field surveys at a series of typical destinations of the province such as: Sam Mountain National Tourist Area, Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, An Hao Solar Power Tourist Area... In addition, the delegation also assessed the capacity of new accommodation facilities and tourism services in the area.

At each stop, the group members not only appreciated the unique natural landscape value of the Seven-Mountain region but also directly experienced the distinctive products and gained deeply about the indigenous cultural life.

After the survey, many representatives of international travel agencies highly appreciated An Giang's potential in developing eco-tourism, cultural-spiritual tourism, community tourism and border tourism products. In particular, the combination of rich natural resources and diverse cultural identities of the four ethnic groups Kinh - Hoa - Cham - Khmer and typical cuisine is considered the "key" for An Giang to attract international visitors in the coming time.

Deputy Director of the An Giang Province Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center Nguyen Viet Anh said that the locality is focusing on improving service quality, strengthening connections with international businesses and expanding destination communications. This Famtrip program is one of the key promotional activities to promote the image of An Giang tourism after the festival season and towards the peak season at the end of the year.

Through the activities, positive signals have been recorded when many travel businesses expressed their desire to cooperate in building new tour products, the idea of connecting An Giang tourism route with Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) through the coordination between inter-regional road and air routes. This is expected to be a favorable first step, opening up opportunities to bring An Giang tourism to a wider international market./.
