At the meeting, delegates discussed the socio-economic development situation in 2024, the socio-economic development tasks in 2025 and draft resolutions of the Provincial People's Council. At the same time, delegates questioned departments and branches about voters' recommendations in the fields of: Science and technology, natural resources and environment, information and communications... Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and heads of relevant departments and branches answered and clarified issues that delegates and voters are interested in, focusing on the achievements and limitations, difficulties; at the same time, they pointed out the causes, took responsibility and presented specific solutions to overcome them in the coming time.

At this session, 14 resolutions were passed, including the Resolution on approving the settlement of State budget revenue in the area and local budget revenue and expenditure of An Giang province in 2025; Resolution on supplementing the budget estimate for implementing tasks arising in 2024 (phase 2); Resolution on regulating the bird nest farming area in An Giang province; Resolution on the 1/2000 scale zoning plan of Xuan To Industrial Park (expansion) and many other important resolutions...

In his closing speech, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung acknowledged and praised the spirit and responsibility of the Provincial People's Council delegates, who focused on discussing and contributing many quality opinions to the draft resolutions and reports presented at the meeting. Thereby, many feasible solutions have been proposed in implementing the province's socio-economic development tasks in 2025.

To successfully implement the socio-economic development targets for 2025 and the resolutions passed by the People's Council at this session, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province Le Van Nung proposed that, immediately after the session, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the committees of the Provincial People's Council, delegates of the Provincial People's Council and all levels and sectors, according to their assigned functions and tasks, focus on implementation, ensuring publicity, transparency, and compliance with legal regulations; regularly monitor, urge and inspect to promptly detect and overcome limitations and difficulties in the implementation process, ensuring the early implementation of the resolutions and achieving the highest efficiency.

In particular, it is necessary to focus on promoting investment attraction; speeding up the implementation of projects, especially key projects and works with spillover effects and regional connectivity; having specific solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for enterprises in all fields; speeding up the disbursement of public investment capital and capital for implementing national target programs; strengthening the management of budget revenue and expenditure to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the State management of land, site clearance, minerals and environment; continuing to promote administrative reform, tightening administrative discipline and order in performing public duties; promoting digital transformation, applying information technology, building digital government and digital society to meet the socio-economic development requirements of the province.
