(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of February 25th, the People's Committee of An Giang province held a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement with Global Technology - Telecommunications Corporation (GTEL) on the implementation of Project 06/CP of the Government in An Giang province for the period 2025-2030. GTEL Corporation was established in 2007, is an enterprise directly serving the defense and security of the Ministry of Public Security, under the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05) operating in the fields of technology, post, telecommunications, transmission infrastructure, digital finance, manufacturing and some other fields. Through the development process, GTEL has implemented many large projects and plans of the Public Security Sector and the country, actively participated in the national digital transformation, implemented models of Project 06, provided telecommunications products and services, digital transformation services, high-tech solutions, security, information security for organizations, businesses and customers. At the same time, GTEL Corporation also promotes research and production of high-tech products, contributing to the construction of a modern, dual-use security industry and cyber security industry.
In order to practically and effectively implement digital transformation, especially to carry out tasks under Project 06, and at the same time contribute to the successful implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22nd, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, An Giang Provincial People's Committee signed a cooperation agreement with Global Technology - Telecommunications Corporation (GTEL) in the field of digital healthcare and smart education to improve the digital healthcare system, help people access quickly and conveniently and develop a school management system integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized that in recent times, An Giang province has paid great attention to the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. In digital transformation, An Giang province has chosen two sectors of health and education to develop as the leading group in the country. In addition, the sectors and fields of An Giang province are in great need of science and technology and digital transformation, such as: Processing industry, export... The application of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation aims to transform An Giang province towards economic restructuring, as well as to achieve the goal of increasingly high growth, promoting the socio-economic development of the province in the coming time.
Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, suggested that, immediately after the signing ceremony, sectors and localities, based on their own realities, especially in performing tasks on science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation, coordinate with Global Technology - Telecommunications Corporation (GTEL) on the basis of legal regulations and must have a specific focus, key points and roadmap to achieve the highest goals and efficiency to best serve the people./.
