(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of December 17, 2024, at An Giang University, the Green Startup program, which was part of the Mekong Connect Forum 2024 activities, was held. The program, which was themed "Stories - Startup Journey," brought together exceptional green agricultural entrepreneurs who have received awards in the past decade. The event will take place with the participation of many experts and prestigious entrepreneurs to share experiences and development orientations for sustainable agricultural startup projects.
The event was attended by Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc, Ms. Vu Kim Hanh, President of the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, Experts, Speakers representing Ministries, Institutes, and Schools, Representatives of leaders of Departments of provinces and cities, and enterprises belonging to the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods from localities across the country.
The subsequent subjects comprise the program's highlights: Mr. Nguyen Quan, former Minister of Science and Technology, presented on the application of automation in green startups. The current period's orientation of agricultural startups, as shared by Mr. Nguyen Lam Vien, Chairman of Vinamit’s Board of Directors; The success story of Mr. Vo Van Phong, Director of C2T Company, in his journey to establish a Net Zero green tourism model; The following presentations were given by Ms. Nguyen Thi Cac Thuy, CEO of Tay Cat Company, and Mr. Mai Thanh Thai, co-founder of Food Map: "Developing product chains from indigenous resources associated with community livelihoods" and "Promoting multi-channel trade for startups."
The seminar also featured international exchanges, which introduced the experiences of startups from the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand. The content of the seminar focused on the franchising of Vietnamese brands in the international market, as part of the Mekong Connect Forum 2024 activities.
The event is expected to serve as a platform for the startup community and experts to interact, exchange, and share their experiences. This is an opportunity for young startups in the provinces to acquire knowledge about sustainable economic development models and to increase the value of Vietnamese brands in the international market. The dialogue not only stimulates the development of novel perspectives but also serves as a powerful source of motivation for the young startup generation, promoting more creative and effective green projects in the future.
