(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of December 11, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang led the provincial delegation to survey the progress of the Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang Expressway Project, Component 1, the section passing through An Giang province. Accompanying him were Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc, leaders of relevant departments, agencies and localities.
According to the report of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Transport and Agricultural Works in An Giang Province, up to now, the construction progress of all 4 main construction packages has reached 37.45%/37.11%, exceeding the schedule by about 0.34%. Site clearance work ensures the site for project implementation, and has so far handed over 99%, and is expected to complete 100% of the site handover in December 2024. The project is being implemented according to schedule. Over 3,532/3,750 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching 94%. If comparing the disbursement value with the capital allocated at the beginning of 2024, the disbursement rate to date has reached 109%.
Directly inspecting the project construction sites in Chau Thanh and Thoai Son districts; listening to the construction units report on the progress of implementation, Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Le Hong Quang commended and acknowledged the activeness and drastic participation of relevant departments, branches, investors, construction units and local authorities in organizing and implementing the project ahead of schedule.
Excited about the project which has been being completed ahead of schedule, especially the intersection at Km38 (Vinh Trach commune, Thoai Son district), An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang said that the 5 completed intersections, connecting the expressway with other areas and provincial roads, will promote socio-economic development. Thereby, he requested that the Investor urge contractors to increase human resources, equipment, materials, organize many construction teams to implement in accordance with actual conditions, strictly control the construction progress according to plan, strengthen quality inspection, labor safety, environmental sanitation; speed up the acceptance procedures, payment of completed volume in accordance with legal regulations to complete well the disbursement work. Construction units should proactively deploy construction plans, mobilize maximum machinery, equipment, human resources, strive to overcome difficulties, speed up construction progress in accordance with the Prime Minister's direction "Eat urgently, sleep quickly", "Overcome the hot sun, overcome the rain", "If the day is not enough, work at night!" to soon complete the project...
