(AG Provincial E-Portal) - 219 official delegates representing over 79,250 youth members of An Giang province participated in the IX Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union (VWU) of An Giang province for the term 2024-2029, which was officially opened at the Provincial Hall on the morning of October 4.

The Resolution of the VIII National Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union and the VIII Congress of Delegates of the Provincial Vietnam Women's Union were implemented synchronously and comprehensively by all levels of ministries and associations in a diverse and rich form during the 2019-2024 term, resulting in practical results. The construction of the association's grassroots organization and association officials continues to be paid attention to and implemented with many innovations. Up to now, the whole province currently has 79,252 members living in youth branches and clubs, teams, and groups; 16,813 elite members were admitted to the Youth Union.
A significant number of members and young people have been drawn to participate in volunteer activities for social security and community development, which have been widely organized by associations at all levels. It contributes to the community by ensuring social security in the locality through volunteer activities and programs, which have positive social effects. 8,965 projects have been implemented by associations at all levels, and youth work associated with the socio-economic development tasks of localities and units has attracted 20,980 members and youth to participate.
The project was approved by the congress, and 37 members of the Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang Province, term IX, term 2024-2029, were consulted. Mr. Do Minh Sang was negotiated to assume the position of Chairman of the Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang Province, term IX, term 2024-2029. Simultaneously, the inaugural meeting of the Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang Province, term 2024-2029, convened to consult with 11 members of the Secretariat, 4 Vice Chairmen, and 5 members of the Inspection Committee, as well as the Head of the Board and Deputy of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang Province, term IX, term 2024-2029. Furthermore, the negotiation dispatched a delegation to participate in the IX National Congress of the Vietnam Women's Union, which will take place from 2024 to 2029. The delegation consisted of 10 official delegates and alternate delegates.
Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hieu, proposed at the Congress that the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang Province promote propaganda about the meaning and value of the movement to ensure that young people understand and actively participate in improving the quality of the movement. The organization and implementation of the movement should make the most of technology, and the movement should diversify forms of connecting agencies, businesses, and society to jointly spread the "I love my country" campaign. Simultaneously, the Association is committed to the innovative development of its content and operational methods, with a particular emphasis on the effective implementation of digital transformation throughout the organization and the enhancement of digital capabilities for young individuals. Moreover, conduct research and implement numerous effective solutions to foster entrepreneurial attitudes and skills among young people; perseverance and determination to fulfill the mission of solidarity, attract a diverse group of young people, and establish a robust Association.
Mr. Ho Van Huong, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, expressed his appreciation for the efforts and perseverance of all members, youth, and all levels of the Women's Union during the previous term on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province. Therefore, it is anticipated that the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang province will persist in its efforts to revolutionize political and ideological education, as well as education in revolutionary traditions, ethics, and lifestyle. Additionally, the organization will strive to cultivate ambitions, aspirations, and dedication, as well as to expand the scope of living and learning, increase theoretical awareness, and foster political bravery and a cultural lifestyle. At the same time, strengthen the building of a strong organization of the Association at all levels, constantly innovate the content and mode of operation; building and fostering a contingent of association cadres at all levels, especially grassroots, in accordance with the thoughts and aspirations of young people.
The Women's Union of An Giang province adheres to the resolutions, action programs, and plans of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang province at all levels in order to coordinate the implementation of youth movements and programs with specific and practical work. Furthermore, prioritize the nurturing of the material and spiritual well-being of young individuals, with a particular emphasis on employment, income, and cultural activities. In order to ensure that all levels of the Youth Union - Association successfully complete their assigned tasks and create conditions and opportunities for An Giang youth to dedicate their youth to building an increasingly developed homeland, party committees, authorities, mass organizations, and socio-political organizations continue to pay attention to directing, encouraging, supporting, creating conditions, and trusting tasks.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union presented an emulation flag to the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang Province on this occasion in recognition of their exceptional accomplishments in the youth movement and the association during the 2019-2024 term. Additionally, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union awarded the Certificate of Merit to three collectives and five individuals for their exceptional achievements during the same period. Simultaneously, the Certificate of Merit of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee and the Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union of An Giang Province were conferred upon collectives and individuals who demonstrated exceptional accomplishments during the 2019–2024 period.
