According to the Decision, the Provincial People's Committee delegates to the Department of Industry and Trade the management of food safety for food production and trading establishments that are not subject to the issuance of the Certificate of eligibility for food safety under the state management responsibility of the Industry and Trade sector specified at Point k, Clause 1, Article 12 of Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP dated 02/02/2018 of the Government detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Food Safety in An Giang province; Decentralization to the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to manage food safety for food production and trading establishments not subject to the issuance of certificates of eligibility for food safety under the state management responsibility of the Industry and Trade sector specified at Point b,  d, dd, e, Clause 1, Article 12 of Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP in districts, towns and cities.

The Decision on the decentralization of food safety management for food production and trading establishments in An Giang province that are not subject to the issuance of certificates of eligibility for food safety under the state management responsibility of the Industry and Trade sector will take effect on September 10, 2024. The People's Committee of An Giang province issued Decision No. 55/2016/QD-UBND on August 31, 2016, which decentralized and assigned food safety management to small-scale food production establishments under the state management responsibility of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in An Giang province. This Decision is hereby nullified.
