Start of asphalt concrete paving on the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang expressway

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of 21/11, Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company commenced asphalt concrete paving on Phase 1 of the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway along the section in An Giang Province.
Asphalt paving on the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway in Vinh Hanh CommuneOn the first paving day, the contractor mobilized substantial machinery and manpower for the segment from Km40+800 to Kenh Ngang Hue Duc Bridge Cleaning the roadbed before paving Construction crews were organized into multiple shifts and teams to accelerate progress and ensure quality during pavingMr. Vo Dai Thach, Deputy General Director of Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company, said the unit aims by 10/12 to pave about 4 km from Km40+800 to Km30+300, including four bridges: Kenh Ngang Hue Duc, Kenh Dong 2, 1/5, and Vinh Binh 1. “The construction unit is concentrating equipment and machinery, arranging three shifts with four teams to ensure progress” Favorable sunny weather enabled continuous paving along the routePhase 1 of the Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang Expressway is 188.2 km long, designed for 4 lanes, with a total investment of VND 44,691 billion. The project comprises 4 component projects, of which Component 1 is 57 km long with a total investment of VND 13,526 billion As of 21/11, construction progress on component 1 within An Giang Province reached 66.08%, exceeding the plan by 0.09 percentage pointsMr. Dinh Van To, Director of the An Giang Provincial Project Management Unit, said the investor closely monitors project implementation progress on a daily and weekly basis to expedite execution. At the same time, it works closely with relevant sectors and contractors to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles during construction so as to accelerate progress and ensure project quality as directed by provincial leaders
