(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of October 15, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held the 23rd session (with special topic) of the Provincial People's Council, term X (tenure 2021 - 2026) to review and approve the reports of the Provincial People's Committee in the fields of economy - budget and ethnicity.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung; Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Do Tan Kiet and Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Dinh Thi Viet Huynh chaired the meeting.
Delegates at the meeting have discussed, exchanged, considered and voted unanimously to approve 4 submissions of the Provincial People's Committee, including: Submission to issue a Resolution on stipulating criteria for deciding on bidding and selecting investors to implement investment projects using land in An Giang province; Submission to issue a Resolution on promulgating a support mechanism for implementing social housing construction investment projects in An Giang province; Submission to issue a Resolution on stipulating the percentage (%) to calculate land rental prices, the percentage (%) collected for land of underground construction, the percentage (%) collected for land having water surface in An Giang province; Submission to issue a Resolution on stipulating land support policies for ethnic minorities in An Giang province.
Speaking at the closing session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council Le Van Nung emphasized: The resolutions passed at the session aim to effectively implement the Land Law issued in 2024, creating a legal basis to solve social security, national defense and security issues, ensuring resources for reinvestment, land fund exploitation, increasing land use revenue, and promptly meeting expenditure tasks for socio-economic development.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to promptly institutionalize the Resolution into specific regulations, plans and instructions for implementation, ensuring publicity, transparency and compliance with legal regulations; to direct relevant departments and branches in well guiding and closely coordinating with the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and relevant units to seriously and effectively implement the issued regulations, mechanisms and policies; at the same time, strengthening inspection, examination and supervision to promptly detect and overcome limitations and difficulties in the implementation process, ensuring that the resolutions will soon put into practice and achieve the highest efficiency./.
