(AG Provincial E-Portal) - The inauguration ceremony of the investment project to construct the route connecting National Highway 91 and the bypass route of Long Xuyen City was held at 08:00 on June 16 at the end of the intersection with National Highway 91 (Binh Duc ward, Long Xuyen City, An Giang province), as per the recently promulgated plan of the Provincial People's Committee.

The Mekong Delta connection project, which traverses Vinh Thanh District, Thot Not District, Can Tho City, and Long Xuyen City, An Giang, includes the project that connects National Highway 91 and the bypass route of Long Xuyen City. The project, which is a component of the counterpart capital of the Government of Vietnam, has a total investment of over VND 2,100 billion from loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and a length of 15.3 km.
The connection between National Highway 91 and the bypass route of Long Xuyen City has been completed and is now operational. This project is of great importance to the residents of Long Xuyen City and An Giang province in general, as it reduces traffic congestion in the city center and is a critical component of the traffic map that connects An Giang with the Delta Mekong River.
More specifically, the construction of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang motorway, in conjunction with the bypass route of Long Xuyen City, will serve as a significant catalyst for the socio-economic advancement of An Giang province.
