(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of February 26, at the Representative Board of the Islamic Community of An Giang Province (Chau Phong Commune, Tan Chau Town), Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province, Ho Van Mung, led a provincial delegation to visit and extend Ramadan greetings to the Cham ethnic minority community in An Giang Province in 2025. Accompanying the delegation were leaders of various provincial departments, agencies, and Tan Chau Town officials.

During his visits, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Chairman Ho Van Mung extended his best wishes for health, happiness, and prosperity to the religious leaders, dignitaries, officials of the Representative Board, local mosques, and the entire Muslim community in An Giang Province on the occasion of Ramadan. 

He emphasized that An Giang Province, with its rich historical and cultural heritage, is home to multiple ethnic groups, including the Kinh, Cham, Khmer, and Hoa. Throughout history, during both resistance movements and national development efforts, the ethnic and religious communities of the province have always maintained solidarity. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the Islamic community in An Giang, under the leadership of religious leaders and dignitaries, in fostering unity and contributing to the province’s progress.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Chairman Ho Van Mung expressed sincere gratitude for the contributions of the religious leaders, dignitaries, and the entire Muslim community in An Giang toward the province's overall development. He also expressed joy in witnessing improvements in the livelihoods of the Muslim community, thanks to the dedicated efforts of religious leaders and local mosques.

Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province, Mr. Ho Van Mung, expressed his hope that in the coming time, religious leaders, dignitaries, and officials of the Representative Board of the Islamic Community of An Giang Province, along with local mosques and the Muslim community, will continue to uphold unity, comply with the policies and guidelines of the Party and the laws of the State, and work together to promote economic development for their families and local communities. This, in turn, will contribute to the continuous improvement of the lives of the Islamic community in An Giang Province in particular and the people of An Giang Province in general.

At the same time, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province, Mr. Ho Van Mung, expressed his hope that religious leaders, dignitaries, and officials of the Representative Board of the Islamic Community of An Giang Province, along with local mosques, would collaborate with local authorities to promote and encourage members of the Islamic community in An Giang to make informed career choices and seek employment in industrial zones within the province to improve their family livelihoods and contribute to local development. He also encouraged the younger generation to continuously pursue education to support the advancement of both the Islamic community and the province. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of strengthening ethnic, religious, and community solidarity, fostering harmonious neighborhood relationships, and working together to build a prosperous and thriving Islamic community in An Giang, thereby contributing to the overall growth of the province.

On behalf of the religious leaders, dignitaries, officials of the Representative Board, local mosques, and the Muslim community in An Giang, Head of the Representative Board, Haji Jacky, expressed his sincere appreciation for the attention and support of the provincial leadership. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Islamic community to the principle of "Living a Good Life and Practicing Good Faith," emphasizing values of love, unity, and national solidarity.
