(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of August 15, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Doc city held a handover ceremony of 9 Great Solidarity houses for households with difficult circumstances in 2024. Attending were the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Chau Doc City People's Council, Mr.Cao Xuan Ba.
At the ceremony, the Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Doc city handed over 9 Great Unity houses, of which Vinh My ward had 2 houses, Nui Sam ward had 5 houses and Vinh Te commune had 2 houses. Each house has a minimum area of 35 m2, at level 4 structure, funded by donations from the Management Board of Sam Mountain Temple and Tay An Pagoda, supporting each house with 50 million VND.
It is known that from the beginning of 2024 until now, the Fatherland Front Committee of Chau Doc city has handed over 71 Great Solidarity houses and repaired 2 houses, with a total cost of over 3.5 billion VND.
This is one of the activities to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 1888 - August 20, 2024), the 79th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945-19). /8/2024) and 79 years of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2024)./.
