(An Giang E- Portal) - On May 14, the An Giang Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center held a working session with the Quảng Ngãi Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; and signed a cooperation agreement for tourism development between An Giang and Quang Ngai provinces.
Attendees at the signing ceremony included Mr. Le Van Tai – Deputy Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh – Deputy Director of the An Giang Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh – Deputy Director of the An Giang Provincial Department of Tourism; Mr. Mai Tuan Kiet – Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Tourism Association.

At the working session, the two units introduced the tourism potential of each locality and analyzed the similarities to promote tourism cooperation in the coming period. It was shown that both An Giang and Quang Ngai have diverse terrain, ranging from mountains and plains to seas and islands, and possess a rich cultural heritage with many ethnic groups living together. Therefore, strengthening cooperation will help the two units specifically, and the two provinces generally, to carry out effective activities in tourism promotion.
Mr. Le Van Tai – Deputy Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, and Mr. Nguyen Viet Anh – Deputy Director of the An Giang Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on behalf of their respective units. The agreement focuses on three main areas: cooperation in linking tourism product development; cooperation in tourism promotion and marketing; and cooperation in calling for and attracting investment in the tourism sector.


Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Tai – Deputy Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, stated that today’s cooperation agreement will not only strengthen the promotion of destination images, products, and attractive, high-quality inter-regional tourism routes, but also leverage the unique tourism potential and strengths of each locality. He expressed hope that after the signing, the two units will quickly implement mutual support activities for tourism development, bringing benefits to tourists and the community, and contributing to sustainable socio-economic growth./.
