(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the evening of July 31, the An Giang Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, in collaboration with the Long Xuyen Ward People’s Committee and Chuong Vang Trading Promotion Co., Ltd., organized the Southern Folk Cake Festival – An Giang, combined with the 3rd Tourism and Trade Promotion Fair – OCOP Products in 2026. Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the An Giang People’s Committee, Le Van Phuoc, attended the event.

The event takes place from July 31 to August 8, 2026, at Golden City Urban Area, Long Xuyen Ward, An Giang Province. With a scale of about 300 booths, the festival features zones dedicated to Southern folk cakes, cuisine, OCOP products, regional specialties, typical rural industrial products, general trade, and a tourism promotion space. Throughout the event, admission is free for both residents and visitors.

The highlight of the Festival is the Southern folk cake and traditional cuisine performance space, with the participation of artisans, chefs, and production establishments from both inside and outside the province. Visitors can experience the process of making traditional cakes, while enjoying free tastings of distinctive dishes such as Ha Tien Bun Ken, Banh Ray, Banh Xeo, and Phu Quoc Bun Quay. This contributes to honoring the cultural value of Vietnamese cuisine and promoting traditional craft villages.

The trade promotion and OCOP product space brings together many enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities from An Giang, along with units from Vinh Long, Dong Thap, Tay Ninh, Dak Lak, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Ca Mau, Thai Nguyen, and Lam Dong. They showcase OCOP products, regional specialties, and typical rural industrial products, creating opportunities for business networking and market expansion.

In addition, the tourism promotion space featured the participation of units from Gia Lai, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Phu Tho, and Vinh Long, together with tourism enterprises from An Giang. They introduced tourism products, services, promotional programs, and unique destinations, contributing to strengthening tourism development linkages among localities.
Within the framework of the Festival, many distinctive cultural and artistic activities also take place, such as nightly art performances; traditional performances by the Kinh, Khmer, Cham, and Hoa communities; demonstrations of traditional crafts; culinary culture showcases; tourism promotion programs; and cultural exchanges among localities.
