Specifically, the entire province welcomed 26,812 international visitors, up 48.2% over the same period; visitors to tourist areas and spots were estimated at 480,323, up 35.5% over the same period; overnight staying visitors reached 99,812, up 68.7% over the same period; average room occupancy reached over 62.2%, up 7.7% over the same period. Total tourism revenue reached 880.5 billion VND, up 72.3% over the same period.

Particularly, Phu Quoc Special Zone was estimated to welcome 116,433 visitors, up 42.9% over the same period; including 26,266 international visitors, up 45.9% over the same period ar; overnight staying visitors were estimated at 37,969, up 62.4% over the same period.

According to the assessment of the Department of Tourism of An Giang Province, tourism activities during the 5-day National Day (September 02) holiday in 2026 were quite bustling. Key tourism localities strengthened coordination to ensure traffic safety, security, and order, especially at piers, ports, tourist areas and spots, and entertainment venues, preventing instances of soliciting or overcharging tourists.

However, during the 2026 National Day holiday, weather conditions involving rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds (due to the influence of a tropical depression) affected tourism activities, particularly outdoor entertainment activities, as well as island and sea sightseeing tours. In addition, with the holiday falling close to the start of the new school year, domestic tourists having just finished their summer break, and international visitors entering the low season, the number of visitors to An Giang, although increased compared to the same period, showed a modest growth rate.
