Opening of the Athletics Tournament for students of all ages in An Giang province for the 2024-2025 school year

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of November 23, at the athletics field of the Center for Sports Training, Coaching and Competition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to open the Athletics Tournament for students of all ages in An Giang province for the 2024-2025 school year. Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dao Si Tuan; Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Vo Binh Thu attended.

The tournament had over 200 athletes from 14 units competing for 66 sets of medals in 4 age groups: Primary school (8-10 years old), Secondary school (11-12 years old), Secondary school (13-14 years old), High school (15-17 years old), students from the district level Divisions of Education and Training, High Schools in the province.

The An Giang Provincial Athletics Competition for all ages in the 2024-2025 school year aims to develop the movement of regular physical exercise in general and athletics in particular in schools at all levels, to improve health, contribute to comprehensive education for students, prevent and combat social evils, build and protect the Fatherland. At the same time, the organization of the tournament also aims to discover and nurture young sports talents, select promising athletes, and add to the An Giang Provincial Athletics Youth Team.
