(AG Provincial E-Portal) -To celebrate the traditional festival commemorating the 291st anniversary of the passing of Duke Mac Cuu, the Founder of Ha Tien, the Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center of An Giang Province, in collaboration with the People's Committee of Ha Tien Ward, will organize the Ha Tien Tourism and Food Festival 2026.
The event activities will take place over 4 days, from July 9 to July 12, 2026, at Chieu Anh Cac Square, Ha Tien Ward. The opening ceremony will be held on the afternoon of July 10, 2026, with the attendance of provincial and local delegates, local residents, and tourists.
The festival will feature approximately 40 - 50 booths, including 2 areas:
The Ha Tien Food Promotion Area (about 20 - 25 booths) will focus on introducing Ha Tien’s signature dishes.
The Tourism, OCOP Products, and An Giang Specialty Products Promotion Area (about 20 - 25 booths) will showcase tourism and trade businesses in the province.
The highlight of this year's Festival is the Ha Tien Delicious Food Contest - Theme: "Flavors of Ha Tien - The Culinary Essence of the Border Region", which will be held on July 10, 2026. The contest will attract approximately 10 - 15 teams (3 members per team) from food businesses, restaurants, and hotels. The teams will prepare famous traditional dishes of the Ha Tien region using local ingredients.
The Ha Tien Tourism and Food Festival 2026 is an opportunity to strongly promote Ha Tien's tourism potential, natural beauty, and distinctive culture, with the goal of attracting a large number of tourists and driving sustainable tourism growth. In addition, the event provides an opportunity for businesses and tourism service providers, as well as commercial product suppliers, to meet, connect, and introduce their products and services to tourists and consumers.
