(An Giang E- Portal) - On the evening of May 22, at the Community Activity Center (Tran Quang Khai Square), Rach Gia Ward, the An Giang Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion officially opened the 2nd Tourism, Culinary and Trade Promotion Fair combined with OCOP Products Festival 2026 – Rach Gia, An Giang.

This event is a key activity to effectively implement the 2026 investment, trade and tourism promotion program, while also responding to the activities of the National Tourism Year 2026. The festival will take place over 10 days, from May 22 to May 31.

With a scale of nearly 400 booths, this year’s festival brings together a large number of businesses, cooperatives, and OCOP producers from provinces and cities across Vietnam and abroad. It is not merely a space for product display and introduction, but also a forum for enterprises to connect in trade, explore cooperation opportunities, expand markets, and promote the consumption of goods—especially OCOP products and local specialties. The festival is also a place where residents can access a wide range of quality products, experience the distinctive culture and cuisine of participating provinces and cities, and at the same time enhance awareness and pride in the value of Vietnamese goods.
Visitors will be immersed in a rich range of experiences, including spaces for tourism promotion and unique culinary identity—highlighting and showcasing An Giang’s and other localities’ distinctive tourism products; a showcase of OCOP products featuring hundreds of high-quality OCOP items and flagship goods; and nightly art performances organized to serve residents and visitors from near and far.
Notably, during tonight’s opening ceremony, An Giang will officially launch the 2026 summer tourism kick-off program, featuring new tourism products and stimulus programs with attractive incentives ready to welcome visitors this summer.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Quang Xuan Lua, Director of the Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, emphasized that the event holds strategic significance within the series of activities responding to “National Tourism Year 2026.” It will also serve as an effective dual stimulus solution, not only contributing to the growth of trade and services but also promoting tourism development toward the goal of sustainable economic growth for the locality, and gradually enhancing An Giang’s competitiveness nationwide.
Notably, this event, together with the province’s key infrastructure projects, is creating a solid foundation and readiness to serve the APEC 2027 conference to be held in Phu Quoc in the coming period./.
