The 2024 Lady Temple Festival of Mount Sam is scheduled to take place from May 22 to June 3, 2024. The Vinh Dong Trade Centre, located in Nui Sam Ward, Chau Doc City, will host the official Opening Ceremony on May 28 at 19:30, with the objective of marking the 21st day of the 4th lunar calendar. A street festival and a procession of the statue of her will take place at 15:00 on May 29. The 173rd Lady Temple Festival of Bau Muop will be held in Tinh Bien town from May 26 to 28, 2024, with the objective of commemorating the 19th, 20th, and 21st of the 4th lunar month. The festival encompasses traditional rites, administrative ceremonies, and cultural, artistic, physical training, and sports activities. The check-in area will be themed "Celebrating Bau Muop" and will feature images of Tinh Bien tourism and OCOP specialty products in the town.
In 2012, the Lady Temple of Bau Muop (Son Dong Village, Nha Bang Ward) was designated as a provincial historical and scenic site. Between 1849 and 1851, the Lady Temple was constructed. The relics of the Temple of Lady of Bau Muop have been preserved and passed down through generations for over 170 years, thereby crystallizing tangible and intangible cultural values that are imbued with folk identity. Attracting nearly 2 million visitors annually to worship and visit. Numerous visitors from both within and outside the province flock to the Lady Temple of Bau Muop, particularly on the days of the feast.
Additionally, the Tinh Bien – An Giang International Trade Fair 2024 will be held at Xuan To Industrial Park (Tinh Bien ward, Tinh Bien town, An Giang province) from May 27 to June 2, 2024. The event will feature approximately 300 booths, which will represent more than 120 domestic enterprises and enterprises from Takeo Province, Kandal (Kingdom of Cambodia), and Champasak Province (Lao People's Democratic Republic).
