At the temple of President Ton Duc Thang, President Luong Cuong and members of the Central and An Giang Provincial Delegation respectfully observed a minute of silence and offered incense in memory of President Ton Duc Thang.

At the age of 92, with more than 70 years of revolutionary activities, President Ton Duc Thang devoted his entire life to the cause of national liberation, gaining independence and freedom for the country; throughout his life he was diligent, frugal, honest, upright, impartial, wholeheartedly serving the revolution and the people. Uncle Ton is a shining example of strong will and revolutionary fighting spirit, sacrificing his entire life to strive for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people...

The President was moved to write in the golden book of memories: “Respectfully remembering President Ton Duc Thang - beloved Uncle Ton - a staunch communist, an exemplary leader who spent his whole life serving the Fatherland and the People, a loyal soldier of the international communist and workers' movement, an excellent son of his homeland An Giang with a rich tradition of patriotism and revolution...

Wishing the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang province to continue promoting the tradition of your homeland, unite, strive, overcome all difficulties and challenges, obtain many new achievements, and together with the whole country, move forward firmly in the new era, the era of the Vietnamese people's rise.”

Also at the President Ton Duc Thang Memorial Area, President Luong Cuong and members of the Central and An Giang Provincial Delegation visited Uncle Ton's childhood memorial house and planted a memorial tree in the grounds of the President Ton Duc Thang Memorial Area.
