Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, Chau Van Ly, reported that, following the guidance of the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, the department has compiled data on housing support needs across the province. As of now, a total of 4,307 households have been identified as needing housing support. This includes 585 households with revolutionary contributions, 538 households that are poor or near-poor under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, and 3,184 households that are poor or near-poor but not part of national target programs. In addition, the department has estimated the budget, resources, and timeline for implementing the "Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" movement in the province.

After reviewing the reports and listening to the opinions of relevant units, Chairman Ho Van Mung emphasized the importance of ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency in the data compilation for housing support needs, urging the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, as well as localities, to avoid errors or omissions in reporting. He also requested that the department work with the Provincial People's Committee to develop a detailed implementation plan, including clear task assignments and timelines for the emulation movement. Localities should prioritize self-reliance, resourcefulness, and proactive measures to support the initiative. Furthermore, the Department of Construction should provide guidance on design and construction standards, as well as suitable housing models for the region.

Chairman Ho Van Mung particularly highlighted the need for localities to allocate socialized funding for fireworks displays during the Lunar New Year in 2025, with the priority being to channel resources into supporting the "Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" movement. The aim is to improve the living conditions and social security of poor, near-poor, and policy-beneficiary households throughout the province.
