(AG Provincial E-Portal) - After more than one urgent and serious working session with a high sense of responsibility, the Conference of An Giang Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 17th time completed the entire proposed Program.
The conference demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, promoted democracy, intelligence, frank discussion, and contributed many important and enthusiastic opinions. The Provincial Party Standing Committee accepted valid opinions and explained issues with different opinions.
The Provincial Party Executive Committee unanimously assessed: In the first 9 months of 2024, in the context of both favorable and difficult situations, with the solidarity and determination of the entire political system, the dynamism and flexibility of authorities at all levels, the work of Party building and Mass mobilization, the socio-economic situation, national defense and security of the province have changed positively in most areas. In particular, the work of Party building, political system building and Mass mobilization has received special attention, achieving quite comprehensive results; the socio-economic development of the province has had many positive changes in all areas, continuing to grow quite well compared to the same period last year, the economic growth rate (GRDP) increased by 6.54%, higher than the increase in the same period last year (same period increased by 6.41%), all economic sectors have grown; National defense and security have been ensured; border security, ethnic and religious security has been strengthened and stabilized. Organizing the defense area drills of the province, Long Xuyen city, and Tinh Bien town in 2024 has ensured strictness, seriousness, and achievement of the set goals and requirements...
Concluding the Conference, comrade Le Hong Quang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, on behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended all levels, sectors and localities for their efforts to fulfill their tasks well in the first 9 months of 2024.
To successfully complete the political tasks set out in 2024, Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang requested Party committees at all levels, authorities and sectors, especially leaders, to uphold the spirit of responsibility, dynamism and creativity; strictly implement the information and reporting regime; implement regulations, working order, discipline, public ethics... determine to successfully carry out the political tasks in 2024. Specifically, Provincial Party Secretary Le Hong Quang pointed out 6 key tasks that need to be carried out in the last months of the year, including:
Firstly, continuing to review and update the results of implementing the goals and targets to propose necessary additional solutions to be implemented appropriately in the last 3 months of the year, in order to achieve the 2024 plan, as a basis for developing the 2025 plan and striving to complete the targets of the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025, especially focusing on implementing specific solutions to complete the targets with low performances.
Second, leading, directing, seriously and effectively organizing the implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo, Plan No. 190-KH/TU dated August 27, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee, Instruction No. 02-HD/TU dated August 30, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on Party Congresses at all levels towards the Party’s 14th National Congress. The Document Subcommittee and the Personnel Subcommittee of the 12th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 must urgently establish Drafting Teams and Support Units to implement the work plan. The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Training Commission shall urgently review and register meaningful works and events, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels for the term 2025 - 2030.
Third, urgently submitting to the Prime Minister for approval and implementation of the Plan on the implementation of An Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, as a basis for preparing socio-economic development programs and plans in the coming time.
Fourth, completing the organization of defense area drills in localities according to plan: Cho Moi District (October 2024), Thoai Son District (November 2024); it is necessary to ensure safety, on target; in the spirit of thrift, avoid ostentation and formality, resolutely prevent and fight against corruption, negativity, and group interests.
Fifth, carefully preparing to organize events and activities from now until the end of the year: Ceremony to receive the Certificate on recognizing Ton Duc Thang Political School reaching level 1 standards; activities to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the completion of Vinh Te Canal (1824-2024), commemorate the 198th anniversary of the death of Mrs. Chau Thi Te (1826-2024) – to be organized in November 2024.
Sixth, completing the contents to serve the Provincial Delegation to participate in the meeting to review the dossier of Ba Chua Xu Festival on Sam Mountain as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity in Paraguay (from December 2 to December 7, 2024).
Inheriting the achieved results, with a sense of responsibility to the Party and the People, the Provincial Party Committee calls on all cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the province to strengthen solidarity, consensus, strive to overcome difficulties and challenges, effectively implement the action programs and conclusions of the 17th Provincial Party Committee Conference, strive to complete the socio-economic development plan, ensure national defense and security, build the Party and the political system in 2024, successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025./.
