(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the afternoon of December 2nd, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, chaired a working session to listen to a report on the work of organizing the "Mekong Connect Forum 2024" in An Giang province. Mrs. Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee and leaders of units, departments and branches attended.
With the main theme “Mekong Connect 2024 – Forum to promote economic, trade and technological cooperation in the Mekong Delta region – Ho Chi Minh City and the whole country towards sustainable development in the new competitive context”, the Mekong Connect Forum 2024 is taking place on December 17th to 18th, 2024 at An Giang University, co-chaired by the People's Committee of An Giang province and the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
The Mekong Connect Forum 2024 will have a series of main events, such as: Opening Ceremony of Mekong Connect 2024 activities; International Green Startup Festival; Livestream sales session; Workshop on "Developing indigenous resources and local economy through regional linkages in the new competitive context". Along with the main events is an exhibition with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta strengthen linkages, promote internal strength towards sustainable development". Thereby, promoting the image of tourism, investment, digitalization, digital transformation, specialties, OCOP products along with achievements, initiatives, solutions, business models, new products according to green economic trends, digital economy of An Giang province, Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta provinces.
In particular, the plenary session of the Mekong Connect Forum 2024 with the theme "Investment capital and human resources for sustainable linkages" will take place at 8:00 a.m. on December 18th, 2024, chaired by leaders of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; Ministry of Science and Technology; Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; An Giang Provincial Party Committee, An Giang Provincial People's Committee and People's Committees of provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta with 600 delegates attending.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, requested relevant units, departments and branches to continue to coordinate and urgently review the work contents according to the plan. At the same time, quickly complete the list of guests and delegates inside and outside the province, specifically and completely. The logistics and celebration subcommittees prepare to welcome delegates carefully. The remaining subcommittees coordinate to assign specific tasks. Functional and professional forces develop a plan to ensure the maintenance of security and order, traffic flow; protect health, food safety and hygiene... so that the Mekong Connect Forum 2024 takes place successfully./.
