(AG Provincial E-Portal) - The City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Long Xuyen City, An Giang province, conducted a launching ceremony on the morning of September 16 to provide assistance to those affected by storm No. 3. The activity was in response to the call from the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Mr. Vo Thien Hao, the Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Long Xuyen City Party Committee, emphasized during the ceremony that the northern provinces and cities have been directly affected by Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi) as a result of its extremely strong intensity in recent days, which has caused damage to the property and people of the state and the people. The City Party Committee, The People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee of the city respectfully acknowledge and call for the contributions of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, laborers, armed forces, people from all walks of life, agencies, units, enterprises, organizations, and individuals to share and support the people in areas damaged by storms and floods, while simultaneously promoting the spirit of great solidarity and "mutual affection" of the nation. They also contribute to sharing and encouraging the North to overcome the consequences of stabilizing their lives through difficult periods.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Xuyen city has received directly and through Treasury and Bank accounts an amount of over 1.5 billion VND in cash and many valuable in-kind items from the cooperation, contributions of more than 500 agencies, units, enterprises, organizations, and individuals inside and outside the locality after six days of launching (September 10 to September 16). The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Xuyen City respectfully acknowledged and thanked all the compassionate hearts and noble gestures of agencies, units, businesses, organizations, and individuals on behalf of the City Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Long Xuyen City.
Simultaneously, it is dedicated to utilizing all funding sources in a manner that is effective, transparent, and publicly accessible, thereby ensuring that the support is more meaningful and that it promotes profound human values.
