Tinh Bien town has 13 more products meeting OCOP standards in the first phase of 2025

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On April 02, the OCOP Evaluation and Classification Council of Tinh Bien town held a meeting to evaluate and classify OCOP products in the first phase of 2025.

The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of the Town People's Committee - Chairman of the OCOP Evaluation and Classification Council of Tinh Bien Town Lam Van Ba; Head of the Town's Department of Agriculture and Environment Tran Hieu Thuan - Vice Chairman of the Council; representatives of the Department of Science and Technology; Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province; Office of Coordination for New Rural Development of the province.

At the meeting, the Council members listened to presentations from establishments, cooperatives, companies, enterprises, and business households with the origin of raw materials, the production process, output, product highlights, and sales methods of the products proposed for OCOP recognition, including: Palm nectar, Palm syrup, Concentrated palm nectar, and Palm jam products of Seven Mountains Bird's Nest Company Limited; Traditional Palm Sugar of An Giang Branch - UFO Technology and Trading Company Limited; Refined Bird's Nest of Vietnam Bird Nest Joint Stock Company; Picked bamboo shoots of Mai Tung Compassionate Herbal Medicine Company Limited; Khmer Brocade Cloak by Van Giao Khmer Brocade Weaving Cooperative; Paintings on dried lotus leaves of Lien Lotus Business Household; Water hyacinth hats, Water hyacinth vases, Water hyacinth handbags, and Water hyacinth rugs of Ngoc Thuan Handicraft Business Household.

13 products of 7 entities achieved 3 stars or higher

Accordingly, the Evaluation and Classification Council for OCOP products in Tịnh Biên town acknowledged and agreed 13 products from 7 entities. They also required establishments, cooperatives, companies, enterprises, and business households to supplement and complete all necessary documentation based on the opinions and contributions of the Council's members for each product submitted for ranking and evaluation. The goal is to recognize products that meet the OCOP standard of 3 stars or higher. These products are expected to promote the potential, leverage strengths in local raw materials, and provide employment opportunities for the local workforce./.
