(AG Provincial E-Portal) - The closing ceremony and award ceremony of the 13th Youth and Children's Creativity Contest in 2024 were organized by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of An Giang in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training of An Giang, the Department of Science and Technology, and the An Giang Provincial Youth Union on the morning of December 21.
The Organizing Committee received a total of 309 products from districts, towns, and cities in the province that were participating in the Contest after the launching period. The merchandise is delineated into five categories: The categories include learning materials, computer software for education and teaching on computers and smartphones, environmentally friendly products, household appliances, children's toys, and technical solutions to address climate change, protect the environment, and promote economic growth.
Consequently, the Organizing Committee selected 42 exceptional products with innovative concepts and the potential for practical application in both production and daily life. These products were awarded prizes in the following categories: 5 First prizes, 5 Second prizes, 7 Third prizes, and 25 Encouragement prizes, as a result of the preliminary and final rounds.
The Organizing Committee of the Contest also selected 17 of the 42 typical products that won the Contest (including 12 products that won the First, Second, and Third prizes and 3 products that won the Encouragement prizes) to send to the 21st National Contest in 2025 in Hanoi. The Second Prize was awarded to one model, "Smurfs World," by the group of authors from Long Hung Primary School (Tan Chau town), and the Encouragement Prize was awarded to one product, "Environmentally friendly products from Water Hyacinth leaves," by the group of authors from Long Giang Secondary School (Cho Moi district).
The Organizing Committee of the Contest awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 10 individuals who made significant contributions to the organization, mobilization, and propaganda of the Contest in 2024. Additionally, the People's Committee of An Giang province awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 authors and groups of authors who won first and second prizes in the contest. During the same period, the Department of Education and Training of An Giang province presented Certificates of Merit to 32 authors and groups of authors who received prizes (7 Third prizes and 25 Encouragement prizes). Additionally, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of An Giang province awarded Certificates of Merit to 14 authors and 28 groups of authors who received prizes in the 13th An Giang Provincial Youth and Children's Creativity Contest in 2024.
