Opening of the activities "Summer fun with Oc Eo culture" in 2025

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On June 10, the Oc Eo Cultural Relic Management Board of An Giang province coordinated with schools in Oc Eo townlet to organize the opening ceremony of the "Summer fun with Oc Eo culture" activities in 2025 for students in Oc Eo townlet and Vong Dong commune.

With the theme "Traditional Education of Oc Eo Cultural Heritage" associated with the activities "Summer fun with Oc Eo culture" in 2025, many useful and meaningful recreational activities for students are deployed such as: "I am a tour guide" contest; "Oc Eo cultural heritage through my perspective" contest; Discover and experience Oc Eo culture; "Community archaeology" program, the time to organize activities is from June 10, 2025 to August 21, 2025.

Right after the opening ceremony, students from Primary School A, B in Oc Eo townlet and Primary School B in Vong Dong participated in a picture-guessing game with the theme "Learning about Hindu worship (Visnu, Drama, Shiva, Sun God) through magical crossword puzzles"; Learning about National Treasures (Nandin Ring Giong Cat, Linh Son Bac Buddha relief) and typical relics and artifacts in Oc Eo culture.

In addition, students were also introduced and guided about the history of formation and development of Oc Eo culture through documents available at the Oc Eo Cultural Relics Management Board.

Through these activities, students will have a healthy, safe, useful and meaningful summer and learn more about the cultural values of Oc Eo in An Giang province in particular and the South in general. This helps them have awareness and responsibility in preserving, conserving and promoting the values of Oc Eo cultural heritage, towards world cultural heritage./.
