More than 400 physicians from provinces and central levels attended the Cardiology conference

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On July 05, the Ho Chi Minh City Heart Rhythm Association in collaboration with An Giang General Hospital organized a conference on identifying and treating cardiovascular disease risk factors. Dr. Ton That Minh, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Cardiology Association and Dr. Nguyen Duy Tan, Director of An Giang General Hospital chaired; with more than 400 physicians within and outside the province and the Central level attending.

With the theme “Multidimensional approach in the management of cardiovascular diseases in patients with chronic kidney disease”; “"Solutions for cardiac, renal–metabolic patients: The story began 10 years ago”; “Optimizing heart failure management and the role of ARNI”, at the conference and workshop, doctors had access to presentations with rich content, highly practical by leading experts in the field of cardiovascular disease of central hospitals; many experiences from diagnosis, treatment, from clinical practice were shared; many recommendations and guidelines from associations. Thereby, helping doctors practice more easily, contributing significantly to improving the effectiveness of treatment and care for patients with cardiovascular disease.

Specifically, in one day, at 3 conference sessions and satellite seminars of Boehringer, Bayer, Novartis companies, professors, doctors shared 16 related topics: Evaluation of initial results of arrhythmia treatment after 3 years at An Giang General Hospital; update of the latest hypertension practice strategy according to VSH/VNHA 2024; Vitamin D and cardiovascular disease - Escd Guideline 2024; some important points in guidelines on arrhythmia management in recent years. Application of new therapies in the treatment of cardiovascular-renal-metabolic diseases; active treatment strategy for heart failure patients: Inpatient phase; early combination of 3 drugs for hypertension treatment; early screening and kidney protection for diabetic patients: Update from international recommendations; prevention of heart failure in patients at risk; management of hypertension in patients with chronic kidney disease; Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction: Challenges in diagnosis and treatment; the role of heart failure drugs in reducing sudden death…

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Dr. Nguyen Duy Tan, Director of An Giang General Hospital, sincerely thanked the Ho Chi Minh City Cardiology Association for trusting An Giang General Hospital to organize the cardiovascular conference. At the same time, he emphasized that over the past time, the hospital has continuously strived to train and use human resources, build facilities, upgrade medical equipment, and gradually establish specialized units to serve the needs of examination and treatment of cardiovascular diseases for people.
