(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On February 02, An Giang Talent Support Fund held a meeting to commend and reward outstanding students and award sponsorship to students who have overcome difficulties to study well in the 2024-2025 school year. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang Province Le Van Nung; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province Dang Thi Hoa Ray; Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy; former Secretary of An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Management Board of An Giang Talent Support Fund Nguyen Huu Khanh and leaders of departments, branches and localities attended.
At the ceremony, An Giang Talent Support Fund presented awards and commendations to students and individuals with outstanding achievements and sponsored students for the 2024-2025 school year, with a total of 203 students, including 32 students with especially difficult circumstances, with a total amount of 1,705 billion VND (Sponsored by An Giang Lottery Company Limited with the amount of 710 million VND and An Giang Talent Support Fund with the amount of 995 million VND). In addition to being commended, rewarded and received tuition funding, at the ceremony, students also listened to the sharing of seniors who had received support from An Giang Talent Support Fund and have been continuing to nurture their dreams in universities and colleges... Thereby inspiring and motivating students on their journey to conquer their dreams of knowledge.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy acknowledged and expressed gratitude for the support of members of the An Giang Talent Support Fund as well as organizations, individuals and philanthropists who have accompanied the fund in the cause of education, encouraging learning and encouraging talents over the past time. At the same time, she affirmed that thanks to the timely sponsorship, support and rewards from the An Giang Talent Support Fund, many excellent students in the province studying at universities at home and abroad have better conditions to continue their education. Among them, many have grown up, had stable jobs and returned to continue accompanying the Fund to continue supporting the next generation of students. Thereby, contributing to An Giang province in the goal of building high-quality human resources, meeting the needs of integration and development in the coming time.
After nearly 15 years of operation, An Giang Talent Support Fund has rewarded, supported and assisted over 2,000 outstanding students, university students and individuals with many contributions in various areas of social life,... with a total amount of over 11.9 billion VND./.
