The workshop provided new perspectives on the Oc Eo culture of Southern Vietnam, thereby clarifying issues about the lives of ancient Phu Nam residents, the distribution of archaeological sites in the South, comparing the relationship with other cultures in the region... The workshop also pointed out the challenges in preserving and promoting the Oc Eo cultural heritage, orienting the exploitation of Oc Eo cultural values in the local socio-economy, especially building a dossier to submit to UNESCO for recognition as a World Cultural Heritage.

This is a very positive number, and also an opportunity to bring Oc Eo cultural relic to domestic and foreign tourists, especially tourists who love archaeology, learning about history and culture. To exploit the tourism potential of this place, managers and researchers are actively building archaeological tours, giving visitors the opportunity to experience the unique features of Oc Eo culture.”
