Chau Thanh summarizes the implementation of the Project on developing continuing education, vocational training, job creation and the Project on applying information technology in administrative reform

Implementing Project No. 11 of the District Party Committee on "Developing continuing education, vocational training and job creation for the period 2020 - 2025 and orientation to 2030", the District People's Committee has focused on directing and synchronously implementing vocational training policies associated with job creation for rural workers, achieved many positive results, specifically: Organizing vocational training for more than 8,400 workers, reaching 140% of the Project's target, increasing the rate of trained workers in the district from 46% to 72%; over 80% of trained workers have stable jobs. Carrying out the vocational training at elementary, intermediate and college levels for more than 1,988 students after graduating from junior high school, reaching 95.7% of the Project's target. Introducing jobs for more than 32,000 workers, reaching 107% of the Project.

In addition, the district has also implemented well in lending for job creation and labor export, including lending for job creation to more than 1,531 households, amounting to over VND 82.9 billion, an increase of over VND 51 billion, lending for labor export to 55 people, amounting to over VND 5.4 billion, an increase of 12 workers. Providing facilities and vocational training equipment for rural workers has  also received investment attention, with new investment in industrial sewing machines, industrial electrical equipment, repair of factory systems, purchase of equipment and machinery for some occupations according to actual needs such as: Repairing motorbikes, operating and maintaining electric pumping stations and teaching equipment with a total cost of over VND 1.9 billion. Vocational training support policies continue to be effectively implemented such as: exemption and reduction of tuition fee; vocational  training support policies according to orders; vocational training support policies for specific subjects according to regulations. 

Implementing Project No. 07 of the District Party Committee on "Application of information technology in administrative reform and socio-economic development of Chau Thanh district in the period of 2020 - 2025, with a vision to 2030", the District People's Committee has thoroughly grasped the policies and resolutions of the Central and Provincial Party Committee on the application of information technology; implementing the National Digital Transformation Program and the framework of the " Electronic An Giang Project". Agencies and units in the district have proactively deployed the application of information technology in management and operation activities; creating positive changes in the awareness and actions of cadres, civil servants and public employees; contributing to improving the capacity of direction and execution and performing assigned tasks. Unifying the direction on the use of the Electronic Office Software System, gradually replacing paper documents. The electronic one-stop information system and online public service portal ensure smooth operation; Promoting the application of digital signatures and connecting document management software, contributing to administrative procedure reform. Promoting the application of information technology in implementing online conferences. People in the district are gradually forming the habit of applying information technology such as: cashless payments, using applications such as VneID, VssID digital social insurance software,... making tax declarations online.

Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of the District Party Committee Le Bich Phuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the leadership and direction of the District People's Committee in implementing the projects; the efforts of Party committees at all levels, authorities, agencies, departments, unions, cadres, civil servants and public employees who have made great efforts to effectively implement the projects. At the same time, she requested that in the coming time, all levels and sectors continue to implement legal documents on digital technology and digital transformation, continue to invest in information technology infrastructure and digitize databases effectively and economically; continue to build e-government, operate modernly and effectively; continue to promote the application of information technology, digital transformation and scientific and technological research results related to the tasks and activities of their sectors to better serve the needs of the people; Promote training in information technology knowledge and skills in using and exploiting information systems for cadres, civil servants and public employees and gradually implement the roadmap for popularizing digital skills and skills to ensure network safety and security; strengthen the activities of the Community Digital Technology Team; the entire district political system and all classes of people shall unite, promote the combined strength, strive to complete the targets and tasks of the 02 proposed projects, creating a solid foundation for the development of the district in the following years./.
