The government will work alongside businesses, removing bottlenecks to help them achieve breakthroughs in 2026

(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On January 10th, in Rach Gia ward, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting and dialogue with businesses for January 2026, themed "The success of businesses is the development of the province." Mr. Ho Van Mung, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presided over the meeting.

Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of various departments and agencies; and 200 outstanding businesses.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung stated that the "Businessmen's Coffee" event provides an opportunity for the government and businesses to meet, listen, and frankly share ideas, jointly finding solutions to overcome difficulties and build a green, responsible, and sustainable business community. This contributes to the province's effective implementation of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW dated May 4, 2025, of the Politburo on the development of the private economy, which is one of the most important driving forces of the national economy.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized that the province always identifies businesses as the center of the development process, an important driving force for economic growth, job creation, and the dissemination of positive values to society. He also commended the efforts of businesses in their production and business activities, contributing positively to the overall development of the province.

At this program, the "bottlenecks" and "obstacles" hindering business development were discussed, such as: difficulties in investment procedures, construction, and land management; recommendations for improving the transportation system and infrastructure to reduce circulation costs; issues related to taxes, access to loans, insurance, labor, environment, and specific difficulties in strong sectors such as tourism, agriculture, and fisheries... all of which were addressed.

Chairman of An Giang Provincial Tourism Association, Nguyen Vu Khac Huy, proposed creating a tourist data system to enable businesses to proactively forecast tourist flows and adjust service supply; immediately training personnel for APEC 2027; establishing criteria for green tourism development, providing training and certification for businesses; and supporting tourism businesses in allocating separate prayer areas for Muslim tourists,…

Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Bang, Head of General Affairs Department of HwaSeung Rach Gia Co., Ltd., proposed that the province strengthen regular dialogues between the government and businesses to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles, avoiding delays that could affect the production and business activities of investors. The province should pay more attention to investing in technical and social infrastructure serving industrial parks, especially housing for workers, expressways, and inter-regional transportation infrastructure. The province should promote administrative procedure reform and apply digital transformation towards simplification, transparency, and shortening the processing time for business-related documents such as those related to environment and labor.

Specific support policies should be issued for businesses employing a large workforce, especially FDI enterprises.

Concluding the "Businessmen's Coffee" session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung affirmed that the province is committed to always accompanying businesses, continuing to reform administrative procedures, improving the investment and business environment, and promptly resolving difficulties and obstacles.
Simultaneously, the province encourages and supports businesses in technological innovation, adopting green production models, socially responsible business practices, and sustainable development. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Ho Van Mung, urged: “We hope the business community will continue to promote the spirit of innovation, proactively transform towards a green direction, and improve management capacity, not only to meet market demands but also out of responsibility to the community, society, and future generations.”

With the spirit of "listening - sharing - acting," Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung assigned tasks to relevant departments and agencies to remove bottlenecks for businesses to achieve breakthroughs in production and business in 2026. At the same time, they are to develop specific plans, clear roadmaps, and report to the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of assigned tasks. The "Businessmen's Coffee" program will be maintained and organized monthly by the province to meet with and resolve difficulties for businesses.

Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade will review policies, remove obstacles in production and distribution, and promote e-commerce; the Department of Finance will ensure that support policies are public, transparent, and easily accessible; the Department of Tourism will connect businesses to the local tourism value chain for sustainable recovery and development; the Provincial Tax Department will strengthen guidance on new policies and promptly handle feedback from businesses; and the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board will review investment processes, resolve outstanding issues, and prevent delays that could affect project progress.
