(AG Provincial E-Portal) - According to the Market Stabilization Plan for the end of 2024 and the Lunar New Year 2025 of the Department of Industry and Trade of An Giang, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, 30 enterprises registered to participate in market stabilization, an increase of 50% compared to the number of enterprises registered to participate in market stabilization for the Lunar New Year 2024.

The price stabilization activities will take place from December 01, 2024 to February 20, 2025 (November 01, 2024 to January 20, 2025 of the lunar calendar) with 30 enterprises registering to participate, of which 12 enterprises registered to participate in the food and foodstuff group; 18 enterprises registered to participate in the gasoline, oil, and liquefied petroleum gas group. At the same time, there will also be participation in the 2025 Tet market stabilization of 401 stores, with 114 stores selling food and foodstuff and 287 stores selling gasoline, oil, and liquefied petroleum gas.
Regarding the list of goods for market stabilization, it focuses on essential consumer goods such as rice, pork, chicken, duck, poultry eggs, sugar, cooking oil, spices (salt, fish sauce, etc.), vegetables, tubers, fruits, fresh and frozen seafood, processed food, cakes, jams, candies, wine, beer, soft drinks; Group of goods: gasoline, oil, liquefied petroleum gas, diesel oil, liquefied petroleum gas.
The total amount of goods reserved for Tet this year reached over VND 1,851 billion, an increase of over 69% compared to the 2024 results. The amount of goods stabilizing the market for food, foodstuffs, consumer goods, cosmetics, etc. reached over VND 727 billion, an increase of over 52% compared to the 2024 results; The amount of gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas reached VND 1,124 billion, an increase of over 83% compared to the 2024 results.
Regarding the organization for implementation, depending on the actual situation of each locality, goods will be regulated from supermarkets/convenience stores within the same system to areas with local shortages, or goods will be transported from the general warehouses of the supermarket/convenience store system for appropriate distribution.
At the same time, depending on the actual needs, motorbikes or specialized vehicles will be arranged to supply goods. When needed, companies use trucks to transport food to the collection point for direct distribution to the people. In case the truck cannot reach the area, motorbikes will be used for transportation.
In addition, it is also necessary to stimulate consumption at the end of the year to serve Tet such as organizing "Vietnamese Goods Festival to the countryside - OCOP Phu Tan - An Giang products"; organizing OCOP product fair - Tinh Bien regional specialties in 2024, connecting shopping and cuisine of Vietnamese - Thai products; organizing an online shopping promotion week to celebrate Christmas - New Year 2025; organizing a market to promote OCOP products to border areas, remote areas, ethnic minority areas in An Giang province in Tri Ton, An Phu, Thoai Son districts; coordinating with commercial centers, supermarkets, convenience stores, enterprises, production and business establishments in the province to respond to the national concentrated promotion program - Grand Sale 2024; Support businesses to participate in supply and demand activities, trade, connect clean and safe food consumption between manufacturers, processors and businesses, distribute and introduce clean and safe food sources to people.
In addition, carrying out activities related to market stabilization, focusing on closely monitoring market developments, supply and demand of goods, especially essential goods to serve Tet shopping needs; monitoring the situation of safe and stable electricity supply during Tet, especially ensuring safety against fire and explosion due to electrical short circuits in public places, residential areas, and entertainment areas; closely monitoring the supply of sufficient electricity and water to serve production, business and people's daily life during Tet; arranging and setting up sales areas for Tet, Spring flower markets, etc. in the province to ensure civilized trade; Strengthening propaganda work to provide full and timely information about the market, prices, and market stabilization activities by promoting propaganda on price stabilization points of sale on An Giang Newspaper, An Giang Radio and Television, radio stations of 11 districts, towns, and cities and other forms such as hanging banners at shopping centers, supermarkets, Bach Hoa Xanh chain stores, Vinmart+ chain stores, and along key routes in the province./.
