(AG Provincial E-Portal) -On January 22, a working delegation led by Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy conducted an inspection of the implementation progress of the inter-level boarding school project in the border communes of Giang Thanh and Vinh Gia.
According to the report, the Inter-Level Day and Boarding Primary – Lower Secondary School in Giang Thanh spans an area of 4.2 hectares. The investment scale includes 30 classrooms (12 for Primary level and 18 for Lower Secondary level); it will serve 1,000 students, with approximately 430 students boarding. The total investment is VND 187.5 billion. To date, more than 20% of the total project workload has been completed.
The Inter-Level Boarding Primary – Lower Secondary School in Vinh Gia covers an area of approximately 4.29 hectares. The investment includes 45 classrooms (20 for Primary level and 25 for Lower Secondary level); it will accommodate 1,500 students, with around 600 boarding students. The total projected investment is VND 186.7 billion. The total project progress has reached 24.8% of the workload compared to the contractual commitment.
After conducting an on-site inspection of the construction progress, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy acknowledged and commended the efforts of the project investors, consulting units, and contractors in ensuring the project implementation progresses as planned.
To ensure the projects are completed by August 30, 2026, in accordance with Resolution No. 298/NQ-CP dated September 26, 2025, by the Government, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy requested the investors to further enhance inspection, supervision, and urging of contractors and design consultants to accelerate progress; to develop a detailed construction schedule, assign specific personnel for monitoring; and to promptly report and propose to competent authorities for consideration, resolution, and removal of arising difficulties and obstacles.
The People's Committees of Giang Thanh and Vinh Gia communes are to continue coordinating with the project investors and relevant agencies to complete procedures related to construction planning, land use, relocation and arrangement of public office buildings and properties, facilitating swift project implementation.
Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy requested the Department of Health and the Provincial Transportation and Construction Investment Project Management Board to urgently deploy and urge relevant units to complete the Giang Thanh Medical Center project, so that the entire old facility can be relocated to the new site and the land can be handed over for the construction of the Inter-Level Day and Boarding Primary – Lower Secondary School in Giang Thanh, ensuring compliance with the stipulated schedule.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the Provincial Military Command, is to promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee on completing the process of receiving the defense land area transferred for the construction of the Inter-Level Day and Boarding Primary – Lower Secondary School in Giang Thanh.
