(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On the morning of August 26th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the An Giang Provincial People's Committee, launched a synchronized campaign to implement national values, cultural values, family values, and human standards for the Vietnamese people, while marking "Vietnamese Culture Day."

Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong, Director General of the Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep, Director of the An Giang Department of Culture and Sports, attended the event alongside leaders of various provincial departments and agencies.

The launch ceremony is a deeply significant event, marking the beginning of the unified and synchronized implementation of tasks outlined in the Prime Minister's Decision. It serves to widely disseminate core national values, contributing to the holistic development of Vietnamese individuals and the creation of prosperous, progressive, happy, and civilized Vietnamese families; it also powerfully ignites the aspiration for a prosperous and happy nation, while harnessing the strength of Vietnamese culture and people in this new era of development.

In her launch address, Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Hương, Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Libraries, emphasized that establishing value systems requires more than just setting goals. Crucially, these values must be embedded into public awareness, transformed into daily behaviors, and reflected in voluntary actions across families and communities.
She highlighted that designating November 24th as "Viet Nam Culture Day" goes beyond adding a calendar event - it strongly affirms culture's pivotal role in national development. As a major cultural and political milestone, the day encourages citizens to reflect on shared values, fostering a collective responsibility to preserve and pass on the nation's heritage to future generations.
To achieve these objectives, Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong called on localities to promptly develop detailed action plans for each unit and agency, emphasizing the leadership and oversight responsibilities of organizational heads. She also stressed intensifying communications to convert shared values into practical behavioral standards across various sectors. Additionally, "Viet Nam Culture Day" events must remain meaningful, deeply rooted in national identity, and focused on grassroots engagement, enabling citizens to actively participate in and benefit from cultural activities.

As the host locality, An Giang Province is committed to actively and effectively implementing the Prime Minister’s decisions. The province aims to integrate core value systems into building cultural life at the grassroots level, fostering happy families, preserving heritage, and educating on traditions. Crucially, it seeks to empower local residents as the primary actors in preserving, creating, and passing down cultural values. Through these efforts, the nation's finest values will seep deeply into daily life, helping to shape well-rounded citizens in An Giang, preserve local identity, nurture community solidarity, and ignite aspirations for advancement.
