On the same day, the Provincial People's Committee delegation inspected the construction progress of the project to build a regional connecting road from Tan Chau to Chau Doc, connecting with Kien Giang (old) and Dong Thap provinces (abbreviated as route N1). The project has a total length of nearly 21km (total investment capital of more than 2,100 billion VND), divided into 3 construction and installation packages. Packages 17 and 27 have been completed. Package 28 (construction of main works from Km7+000 to Km15+451). The construction progress of the whole project reached more than 94.5%; 80% of the volume was completed.
