(AG Provincial E-Portal)- On the morning of July 13th, a delegation of Government leaders, led by Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, visited and worked in An Giang province.
Accompanying and working with the delegation were: Member of the Party Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province, Nguyen Tien Hai; Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ngo Cong Thuc; and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.
During the working visit, the delegation visited and worked with An Giang Fruit - Vegetable and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (ANTESCO) in Binh Long Industrial Park, Chau Phu Commune; and Cuu Long An Giang Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company in My Quy Industrial Cluster, Long Xuyen Ward.
Speaking at a meeting with ANTESCO, the Provincial Party Secretary of An Giang province Nguyen Tien Hai emphasized the need for ANTESCO to strengthen its cooperation with farmers in order to build a value chain and enhance production and business efficiency; to pay greater attention to housing for workers; and requested the agricultural sector to assign experts to support the development of more extensive and widespread regional raw material linkages.
Provincial Party Secretary of An Giang province Nguyen Tien Hai urged enterprises to strengthen their ties with farmers through cooperatives, transferring modern farming techniques in place of traditional methods to improve productivity. He also emphasized the importance of supporting farmers with advanced harvesting technologies to ensure quick harvesting, high yields, and better quality, as well as post-harvest preservation technologies to deliver raw materials to factories and establish a tightly connected value chain. He noted that it would enable farmers to achieve greater productivity and efficiency, thereby contributing to the creation of a sustainable value chain.
During the working session with ANTESCO, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung urged local authorities to promptly address the legitimate requests of the enterprise.
With regard to production linkages, the comrade noted that they remain loose and lack a specific process. He emphasized that the Department of Agriculture and Environment should convene to devise solutions that enable enterprises to establish stronger production linkages, clearly defining the respective roles of enterprises, farmers, and the State.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted the need to pay close attention to production linkages in business, as well as the planning of raw material areas.

Speaking at a meeting with Cuu Long An Giang Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung expressed his admiration for the company's achievements, with its production and export capacity to 70 countries and territories worldwide, contributing to the locality and providing employment for workers.
He affirmed that, within the authority of the Government, efforts will be made to listen, assist, and support enterprises, particularly to foster the development of the pangasius industry. Deputy Prime Minister extended his best wishes for the company to achieve even greater success in the time ahead.
According to ANTESCO’s report, in 2025, the company processed and exported 44,879 tons of fresh produce, generating revenue of VND 1,800 billion, export turnover of USD 61 million, and after-tax profit of VND 129 billion. In 2026, the company estimates a production volume of 50,700 tons, revenue of VND 2,000 billion, export turnover of USD 70 million, and after-tax profit of VND 140 billion, representing increases of 11%, 15%, and 9% respectively compared to 2025.
Antesco currently has 4 factories located in An Giang and Lam Dong provinces, with a total capacity of 50,000 tons of finished products per year, a linked raw material area of 15,000 hectares, maintaining 1,800 regular workers and creating livelihoods for more than 4,500 farming households through product purchase contracts.
According to a report by Cuu Long An Giang Seafood Import-Export Joint Stock Company, in the first six months of 2026, the company harvested approximately 12,000 tons of raw pangasius fish, produced 9,000 tons of frozen pangasius fillet, and exported 10,064 tons of products to 70 countries and territories. Export turnover reached over 21 million USD, with revenue of 942 billion VND.
The company currently manages 6 farming areas with a total area of over 100 hectares, meeting almost 100% of the raw material needs for the processing plant and providing employment for more than 2,000 workers with an average income of 8 million VND/person/month.
