(AG Provincial E-Portal) - On January 9th, Mr. Ho Van Mung, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, led a working group to inspect the progress of the Hon Dat - Kien Luong coastal road project. He was accompanied by Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee.

During a site inspection of the Hon Dat - Kien Luong coastal road project, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung listened to the investor's report on the implementation status, and representatives from the construction contractors, design consultants, and supervision consultants reported on the advantages and difficulties encountered, as well as the opinions of leaders from relevant departments and agencies.

According to the report, the Hon Dat - Kien Luong coastal road project has a total length of nearly 40km. This includes nearly 30km of new construction, nearly 6.77km of main section upgrades, and over 2.4km of branch sections; and the construction of 24 new bridges. The total investment for the project is nearly VND 1,480 billion (including VND 179 billion from the local budget). Capital allocated to date is VND 1,300 billion. The allocation plan for 2025 is VND 349 billion, with over VND 168 billion already disbursed, reaching 48% of the 2025 plan. Cumulative disbursements exceed VND 1,119 billion, reaching 86.1% of the central government funding. Currently, the project is behind schedule.

Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, Ho Van Mung, requested that for sections where land clearance has been completed, contractors must increase manpower, machinery, and equipment to accelerate construction progress in the spirit of "3 shifts, 4 teams," and "if day work is not enough, take advantage of night work." By January 31st, each construction unit should increase the volume of work by 10-15%. The investor is responsible for reporting the project progress to the Provincial People's Committee weekly for monitoring and review.

Regarding sections where land clearance is still pending, the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ho Van Mung, requested local authorities to disseminate information and persuade people to hand over the land in accordance with the law; in cases of non-cooperation, the local authorities should coordinate with the Provincial Public security to organize security for the construction work…/.
