Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council unanimously approved the draft Resolution approving the list of 62 land plots for bidding to select investors to implement investment projects using land in the province. Among them, there are 11 construction projects serving the 2027 APEC Conference in Phu Quoc special zone. Specifically: Expanding Phu Quoc International Airport, APEC Conference Center, mixed-use urban areas - eco-tourism, garbage treatment area - waste treatment plant, lake - water plant…
And land plots in the province such as: urban project plots, rural residential areas, schools, water supply stations, domestic solid waste treatment plants, biomass power plants, solar power, wind power…

The draft Resolution approved a list of projects requiring land acquisition in 2026, including a 2.8-hectare wastewater treatment plant in Duong Dong, Phu Quoc Special Zone, to address sewage issues and protect the pearl island's environment and residents' health.
The Provincial People's Council also approved a draft resolution to convert forest land to other uses for a project building military barracks and infrastructure for Center 11/Department, covering 9.38 hectares of protected forest in Phu Quoc Special Zone, enhancing national security.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province Nguyen Thanh Nhan emphasized that the Provincial People's Council decided on three timely and important contents, directly related to the requirements of ensuring national defense and security, to the management and use of land and the attraction and implementation of important investment projects, thereby creating a foundation to promote the province's socio-economic development right from the first year of the 5-year plan.
The Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to instruct relevant departments and localities to implement the approved resolutions thoroughly, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and the province's approved planning and development roadmap.


Regarding the resolution related to the list of land plots for bidding to select investors, the Provincial People's Council requested that the Provincial People's Committee continue to focus on directing the full completion of necessary legal procedures; proactively promote and call for investment and organize investor selection in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency and efficiency, contributing to attracting quality projects and creating motivation for the province's socio-economic development.
Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council, urged the council, committees, and delegates to enhance oversight, track implementation, and propose solutions to address challenges, ensuring the council's decisions are enforced effectively.
