Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy, Head of the Steering Committee for the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival 2026; Lam Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Long Bien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; and Le Van Phuoc, Provincial Party Committee Member and Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee. 

In his closing remarks at the festival, Nguyen Long Bien, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the success of the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival in Khanh Hoa Province in 2026 not only attracted a large number of artisans, artists, performers, and athletes to participate, but was also an occasion to spread cultural values and honored heritages. The messages on preserving and promoting the ethnic cultural identity were widely conveyed to the people and tourists. 

This year's festival had 7 provinces and cities participating, including: Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong, An Giang, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City, with more than 1,000 artisans, artists, performers, athletes, and community members taking part in performances and introducing traditional cultural values. The essence of Cham culture was showcased through distinctive artistic and sports programs from each locality, such as: a mass art festival, Cham ethnic costume performances, competitions in sports and folk games, tourism activities, and exhibitions of traditional handicraft products... The festival was a complete success. 

After days of lively events with many cultural, artistic, sports, and tourism activities, the delegations participating in the festival left many good impressions, helping to spread the traditional cultural values of the Chăm people and strengthen exchanges and solidarity among localities. To recognize the outstanding achievements of the delegations, the Organizing Committee awarded 19 Category A prizes, 19 Category B prizes, and 20 Category C prizes to the outstanding performances and events at the festival. 

Alongside the cultural and artistic activities, the Chăm ethnic sports competitions and traditional games also took place in a lively and engaging atmosphere, helping to strengthen solidarity and exchanges among localities with Cham communities. The festival Organizing Committee awarded 117 gold medals, 117 silver medals, and 234 bronze medals for the sports events.

Through the festival, the distinctive values of Chăm culture continued to be widely introduced and promoted to domestic and international audiences, helping to raise awareness among authorities, sectors, and the community about the responsibility to preserve and promote cultural heritage values. This, in turn, creates momentum to promote the development of cultural tourism, the cultural industry, and traditional occupations linked to the lives of the Chăm people in the new era. 

Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc emphasized that being entrusted with hosting the 7th Chăm Ethnic Culture Festival in 2030 is a great honor, while also a significant responsibility for the province. This is not only an opportunity to showcase the distinctive cultural values of the Chăm ethnic community and the image of An Giang - a homeland rich in identity, friendliness, and compassion - but also a chance to strengthen exchanges and connections among localities with Chăm communities. It will contribute to consolidating the great national unity and promoting sustainable cultural and tourism development. 

An Giang Province will closely coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and relevant ministries, sectors, and localities, and is determined to successfully organize the 7th Chăm Ethnic Culture Festival in 2030 in a solemn manner that fully reflects the nation's cultural identity.
